This one is for you, Evelini!

Tragedy struck at the Grace Center last week with the sudden passing of our Evelini. Evelini embraced life to the fullest with a care-free joy that will not be forgotten. We want to remember her life by moving forward in a way that will highlight her joyful spirit and preserve the life and joy of many, many others.

We are mourning the loss of our sweet girl and SO ARE OUR CHILDREN. Can you imagine coming from a broken life to live in a new place where you find love? Our children have been through SO much; they have found love and family on our campus and should NOT have to experience the loss of a sibling, a friend, someone else they love.

It is time to take a stand against the loss. It is time to open OUR clinic.  Last month, we finished the registration of the clinic with the Malawi government. We just need a few things done before we can pass our final inspection and open the doors of our clinic for our children and community. We need to raise $25,000.

Here’s how it breaks down:

  • House for the doctor ($8,000)- We need to build a home for the doctor of our clinic. The doctor and their family will be close to the clinic and a part of our campus and community.
  • Renovation and supplies ($9,700)- Our clinic building needs a few updates to get our building ready to open it’s doors as well as stocking medications and furnishing the clinic with needed office furniture and other supplies.
  • Salaries ($7,300)- We need to have money raised and set aside to pay for our doctor and receptionist for the year. We have a Malawian doctor ready to move to our campus and begin work as soon as we are ready!

Part of losing a child is mourning the future lost. We mourn over the lives our children will not get to live BUT it does not end there.

Our goal, from day one, has been to spread the love of Jesus while bringing development to Malawi. Great news: it is happening!  As we bring jobs, schools, and technology to the area our community is growing!  Last week, before tragedy struck, we were preparing to tell you about our plans to develop the Grace Center not only by opening our clinic but also by securing the land necessary for the future development of our campus. With the Grace Center area growing we need to purchase land adjacent to our campus NOW.  For $70,000, we can secure the educational and agricultural future of Circle of Hope with land for a high school, university, and future farms.

As believers in Christ, we know our hope is eternal. He has given us a hope and a future. We have life-everlasting because of his great love and sacrifice. The question is, what do we do with this life and hope he has given us? We live in the fullness of love. We will not accept the death of our children due to limited access to healthcare. We will not accept brokenness and pain. It is time to ACT.

This one is for you, Evelini!
