We are so glad to have the shouts and songs, activity and excitement of school starting filling our campus again!
We are off to a great start on our Surgery Center! After two years of fundraising, we’ve broken ground and are raising the walls on this incredible project.
It has been a very difficult growing season in Malawi. The harvest in our community is about 40% of what families normally harvest. Many families are struggling to figure out how to keep their families from starvation this year.
Edmond explains our school lunch program and them importance of this program for our kids at our Grace Primary and Early Childhood Development Center.
November 28th is the date! 500 bags of cement is the goal!
We invite you to help us on Tuesday, November 28th, as we raise funds to purchase 500 bags of cement to build our Surgery Center in Malawi.
The small business training program on October 16-18, 2023, gathered a group of 15 participants, among them three were carpenters trained through our COH vocational program

Mothers are the heart of our families and communities. We often say, if Mama’s not happy, no one is happy. This is not a Mother’s Day post, but thank you, Moms, we love you! What I really want to talk about today is the huge problem of women dying during childbirth.
Our Preschool and Kindergarten students entered the ECDC for the first time Tuesday, February 14th, and are already loving their new classrooms and a space dedicated to them for learning, playing and growing!
As we move into February and the rains continue this rainy season, the cholera outbreak continues in Malawi.

Thanks to the incredibly generous support of our donors, we’ve been able to not only fix our water problem, but work out a long term solution for adequate water for our entire campus! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

One of the cool ways we get to support our partners in Malawi, the Grace Alliance Church, is by helping to put roofs on churches. Here’s the story of a church roof that is going on right now!
Development vs Relief. One of the age old challenges of development organizations is helping communities understand the difference between Relief and Development. We’ve all heard the adage “teach a man to fish”. At Circle of Hope, we are committed to the value of education and development.
Today, our well is 10 years old and has run into issues. The world has continued to develop and our campus has thrived over the years but the NEED for clean water is very much a real and present/ emergent need for this community, and everyone around the world.
Our students are back at school and ready to learn! We are welcoming 650 primary students back to Grace Primary School this week. Our teachers have prepared awesome lesson and some super fun extracurricular activities for the students. We are off to a great start on a new year!
**Update** We are so pleased with the end result of our HundredX campaign! 267 people participated in sharing feedback raising $19,618 for our Surgery Center. Together with $5,650 raised in cash, our total for the campaign is $25,268! Thank you so much to all our donors and supporters who participated in this awesome program!
Not the Original Plan - for a few years now, we have had on our schedule to start raising money for the Early Childhood Development Center in Fall of 2022.
Sometimes God has a better plan!
As our children have aged in the orphanage and we’ve begun the process of transition, we’re finding they really struggle with life outside of the institution. We are making a huge change in how we care for orphaned and vulnerable children.
